Q: Where's the fuse for 1993 Honda Accord taillights and instrument panel?
Hi. The taillights on my 1993 Honda Accord and the instrument panel light both stopped working at the same time. So I figure I have a blown fuse. But I can't figure out which one is the right fuse.
There's two fuse boxes: One under the steering wheel and one in the engine compartment. But none of the fuses are clearly labeled as the taillights and instrument panel fuse. Some of them are labeled with acronyms or names like "lighting relay."
Can any of you kind folks tell me which is the right fuse?
A: Well sounds like a Short to ground and being a Honda Factory Technician for 20 yrs, I would consider looking for woring that has corrected and or lost the insulation. and By the way what about a headlight switch also ????
The fuse for the headlights are under the engine Compartment as well as all major circuits.
Think aboutit this way, if the rear lights go out and the dashlights at the same time. You have major troubles.
I would look for short first. Then u a test light to trace it out.

Q: How do I change the cap on the reservoir overflow tank in my 1993 Honda Accord?
The cap on my overflow tank is letting water out. Does anyone know how to change it properly for a 1993 Honda Accord. It seems pretty easy. I am looking for pointers before I make a mistake.
A: I had this problem on a Grand Am I owned....
This was the solution on the Grand Am...in order to fix it, I had to buy a new overflow tank in order to get the new cap! However, I saved money by calling a couple junk yards to see if they had my year Grand Am. One did and I drove over and picked up the cap. I don't remember what it cost me but it wasn't much.

Is a 1993 honda accord with 140,632 miles on it a good first car ?
A: well, the average life of a car is 10 years, or 120,000 miles. You are over on both counts.
If you are really interested in it, have your mechanic check it over very carefully before you decide to buy.

Q: Do I put an Accord or a Prelude exhaust for my 1993 Honda Accord LX?
Because I did a JDM 92-96 H22A Prelude Motor Swap on my 1993 Honda Accord LX Sedan. So now I'm wondering if I get an exhaust do I get it as a Prelude model/year or do I get it as an Accord model/year? Thanks.
A: they are both the same block casting, so use the accord exhaust, it will line up with all your factory hangers an brackets
Q: 1993 honda accord, when should i use my d3 and d4 gears?
I have an automatic 1993 honda accord and i've been driving on d4... is there a different time i should be driving in d3?
A: your automatic transmission is a 4 gear transmission. 1st,2nd,and 3rd, are power gears. 4th is an "overdrive gear"
by selecting D4 , you allow your engine to use all gears. the Overdrive or D4 is a special gear meant for highway cruising that acually allows the the the output speed to the wheels to be greater thatn the output of the engine to save fuel and engine wear, that is why RPM are lower in 4th in comparison to the relative speed of the car, the trade off is less torque and therefore more sluggish acceleration. switching down to D3 disables the overdrive, you will notice your RPMs being much higher thatn usuall and when you let go of the gas the car slows down on its own much faster , this is called engine braking.for normal driving use D4, use D3 only on steep uphills and downhills and when you are towing something . also when driving in icy conditions under 60mph
Q: 1993 Honda Accord LX: Brake lights stay on when car is off?
I have a 1993 honda accord 2.2 liter with 167,000 miles.
When I turn off my car my brake lights remain on. I check the fuses and the bulbs. Does anyone have any suggestions? Your response will greatly be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
A: Check the brake switch. It should be above your brake pedal. The switch is hanging in the closed position and needs adjusting or replacing.

Q: what are the radio codes, 1993 honda accord, bose radio?

my mother is the original owner, but has lost her documention concerning the radio.

Q: How do I program keyless entry on my 1993 Honda Accord SE?
I have a 1993 Honda Accord SE 4-door. It has a keyless entry system on it, installed by the original owner. Although the alarm does not appear to be a factory option, it has been serviced by the dealership a number of times because the alarm does not work after replacing the car battery. Each time they appeared to reprogram the car/remote. Now that I replaced the battery, the alarm no longer works. The remote is gray plastic with a black circular button for locking, and a green bar button for unlocking. The remote is FCC ID:BGAPRO2T, and also says DOC/MDC:342 K1060. There is no documentation that came with the car indicating what brand of alarm has been installled.
A: Do an internet search on the manufacturer of the alarm system. They may have a downloadable manual for it. Good luck
Q: What is the best idle rpm for my 1993 honda accord?
when i start my 93 accord lx the car idles at 2000 rpm. is this too high? and if so how do i adjust it to idle at a lower rpm?
i forgot to add that sometimes it will also idle at about 2500 rpm
A: 2000 is a bit high, even for a cold weather start. When you first start it, the ECU (computer) idles faster and with a richer fuel mixture, usually around 1200 rpm.
You cannot adjust the idle speed, as it is computer controlled. There are several systems that control idle speed, including a system that adjusts for when the air conditioner is on. You need to run the diagnostic codes.
Q: 1993 Honda Accord Ex Where to change radio?
Well i have a 1993 honda accord that i just got about a day ago and i checked the radio today and theirs some code you have to input in and the original owner never told me the code so now i wanna change my radio. The radio i want to change it into is KDC-MP205 or the Insignia which is cheaper. Now i dont know if the radio is compatible with the honda accord 1993 EX and also if it is compatible where should i get it installed at Audio Express or bestbuy

A: I'm sure it will fit but you'll also need a car trim kit and it's easier if you get the connector wire. Consider buying from Crutchfield. If you spend over $100 on the deck, they send you the other stuf for free.
Q: 1993 Honda Accord Window Repair?
I have a 1993 Honda Accord. The passenger side window goes up and down really slowly and sometimes stops altogether and I have to manually pull it up. The driver's side window will go down about an inch and then stops and makes a grinding noise and won't go down any further. Everything else on the master switch seems to be in working order and the window seems to be on track. Is this a master switch problem or a motor problem? Is there anything else I should be looking for?
Thanks.
A: the motor is bad.
Q: 1993 Honda Accord is vibrating a little when in reverse and at a complete stop. What could it be?
Is there something I can check myself?Or does it need a Mechanics attention?
A: Do this, get in the car, start it, put foot on brake and put the car in drive and let it idle as if you were at a stop light. If it shakes then keep your foot on the brake and put the car in neutral, if the shake diminishes or goes away, its your mounts.
Q: 1993 Honda Accord dies as soon as i start it. stays on for about a sec?
I've changed the battery, spark plugs, distributer cap and the wheel inside. And it only starts and dies when I us starter fluid spray. (It wont start at all if i dont use the spray. It just turns and turns but doesnt turn over.) Any answers would be very helpful! Thanks..
ok has fuel. thinking about replacing the fuel filter today. good idea?
A: Well good troubleshooting so far.
That it WILL run when using starter fluid limits the problem down to the fuel delivery.
It's almost certainly one of these:
you have no fuel
your fuel pump is dead
your fuel line is clogged or broken
your injectors are clogged
lastly if the injectors are computer controlled they are not being given the correct signal to inject
Good Luck!
