Q: Can I adjust the shocks of my 2003 model Honda CRV?
I just bought a 2003 CRV. It runs great and i love the features. One downside though is that it feels a little stiff and it bounces on slightly bumpy road. Can I adjust the shocks so that it won't be too bouncy? It's too expensive to buy new and softer shocks.

A: sorry but no there is no adjustment its one or the other buy to your needs or live with it sorry. however there are shock's out there that you can program your self from inside our car at a touch of a button from street to off road to tight turns any thing you want it all depends on your wallet in this case your purse $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ remember alot has to do with tires too, steel belted are alot harder that radials, radials which so much softer there are so many tires out there that even the tire compound can be a factor-meaning tires are a harder composite that others and actually some wear faster that others. in all i personally would just try a softer radial tire maybe a goodyear depending on your size this might work so smooth. good luck

Q: How do I remove the factory radio and speakers in a 2003 Honda CRV LX?
Any good how-to's on the net would be great. I don't expect you to lay out the entire process here...

A: i don't have the instructions for the 2003 i have the older style it is almost the same work and the same pannels need to be remove hope this helps good luck http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/Honda/PDF/466009.pdf

Q: How do I disable the 'Maintenance Required' light on dash of 2003 Honda CRV?
No maintenance is required - it was just done. The alert wasn't removed when maintenance was done and I don't want to take it back to the dealer to be charged more $. Is there a switch in the engine or under the dash?

A: I have a 2002 CR-V (I'd imagine that your 2003 model would be the same.) From the owners manual: 1. Turn off engine. 2. Press and hold the (odometer) select/reset button in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch ON (II). 3. Hold the button until the indicator resets (approximately ten seconds). Hope that helps you!

Q: What is the maintenance schedule for a 2003 Honda CRV?
I can't locate my manual and wondered if anyone has an online reference!

A: What country are you in? https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=honda http://www.moonlightmechanic.com/store/year-make.asp? drop into your local Honda dealer at the parts department and ask if they have any extra maintainence booklets for your model car.

Q: I have a 2003 Honda CRV, a/c & heater fan stopped at all blowing speeds completely and suddenly?
No accompanying noises. Have checked both under dash fuses and under hood fuses and all appears OK. There is no fuse in either of these locations marked blower motor relay -- where might I find this elusive relay fuse/switch??? Thanks for any suggestions -

A: you will have a fuse blown you better recheck them... did you check them all you know it only take a few minutes and im sure its a fuse but then its always a sign of things to come and the fuse dont have to be marked heater or fan or even air to be part of the system so check them again to make sure

Q: Can a Honda CRV (2003) pull a small trailer with about 300 pounds of load? Can a trailer hitch be attached ?
I want to buy a lightweight trailer to haul pinestraw, fertilizer, etc. Can a CRV pull that and if so, how much tongue weight can it handle?

A: No problem. That can take a class 1 trailer......that's about 2000 lbs. GVWR with 200 lbs tongue weight.

Q: Bought a 2003 Honda CRV! A month later, emissions & main required light is on. Can i return it to dealer?
i bought the vehicle on June 20. I have not made my first payment yet. im skeptical about this. I bought it with 75,000 miles. They gave a warranty on the CRV up to 175, 000 miles. Can i make a case to dealer to give me something else? Or depends on dealer policy? Still have to get it looked at today. Worried now!

A: That's about the right age for the emissions light to come on. Modern cars come with nanny lights that nag you to do regular maintenance, like take the vehicle in for emissions equipment maintenance and whatnot. You'll probably see those lights again at the 150,000mile mark, too. It's also a good idea to have the timing belt changed now, assuming it hasn't already been done. Most cars with belts are scheduled for changes at about 60,000miles and if yours hasn't been done, it's overdue. You DON'T want that belt to break while the engine is running. That's a really, really expensive repair.

Q: 2003 honda crv starter location?
where is the starter on a 2003 honda crv?

A: the starter is on the right front (passenger side) of the engine. If you look at the engine when you are standign in the front of the car you can follow the valve cover (the black cover on the top of the engine) to your left. look to the front of the left side of the valve cover in the space under the exhaust manifold between the valve cover and the radiator and you should see the starter. you can also follow the red battery cable from the battery down to the starter solenoid but sometimes that's hard to do. hope that answers your question

Q: Why does my 2003 Honda CRV interior dome light keep burning out?
I have replaced it four times in the last year.

A: It depend on the bulb. don't toch it with your hand. The oils can destroy the bulb. You also might want to make sure the first replacement bulb you bought is the correct one.. not a "close" one tht happens to fit. The first bulb may not have been an exact replacement. Then the following bulbs were replace with the same numnber as the replacement. I have seen this happen many times with tail lamp bulbs that "look" the same and happen to fit but are not the same number bulb.

Q: how much should I pay to replace front and rear brakes on a 2003 Honda CRV?

A: You should pay what you agreed to pay when you had them worked on.

Q: Is it truly necessary to change the timing belt/chain on a 2003 Honda CRV at 100,000 miles?

A: i would be cfhanging it before then , around 80k

Q: how do you change a front directional signal on a 2003 honda crv?

A: You're not going to be happy to hear this, but you need to take the plastic inner fender liner off to get at the bulb for the turn signal. You'll have to raise the front of the car up to take the wheel off so you can get the fender liner off. Here's a short description of how to do that: NOTE: Take care not to scratch the body. Remove the front inner fender -1 On the back of the wheel arch, remove the screws . -2 With a Torx T30 bit, remove the bolt securing the front wheel arch protector. -3 From under the front bumper, remove the bolt securing the front bumper, splash shield, and front inner fender. -4 From the wheel arch, remove the clips securing the front inner fender (and splash shield) on the body. -5 Release the hook of the splash shield, then remove the front inner fender. My guess is if you read this far it seems like a thing you may not want to try at home. Its not that difficult if you just look for the screws and bolts. You will need a Torx head bit to get that one Torx bolt out. If you do get the fender liner off, then the most famous words in auto repair apply-- "Install in the reverse order of removal": Personally its not worth my time to do this; its easier to pay someone who has a lift where its much easier. hope that helps

Q: 2003 Honda CRV Windshield Wiper Problem?
When you turn on the windshield wipers they travel too far hitting the windshild pillar(top) and the the cowl(bottom). Does anyone know what I'll need to do to fix this? The car has never been worked on and the wipers have never been touched other than wiper blades. I've even stuck to the Honda replacements for those. Thank you in advance!

A: You'll need to replace the "transmission" of the wiper blades. You can buy the parts from the dealer and do it yourself if you're handy. But, it needs to be replaced.

Q: Are all Honda CRV 2003 4 wheel drive?
Please tell me how to find out since i Have a Honda CRV 2003 Model and I dunno how to find out. Or is there a button or lever to be pressed to activate 4 wheel drive when needed ny the driver?

A: no not all are 4wd. it should say on the back window. or you can look underneth the car and see if it has a rear diff. if it is 2wd then there is no diff or driveshaft. most are 4wd though. no button to push, it is on all the time. it is not a true 4wd. it is all wheel drive. the rear has a clutch pack so that it can go a diff speed than the front
