Q: Should I buy a 2008 Ford Escape or a 2007 Honda CRV?
I am about the purhase a 2007 Honda CRV, but I can get a bit more for my money in the 2008 Ford Escape. Let me know which is the best choice and for resale.

A: unless unexpected tow truck and repair bills don't bother you, get the Honda. not too long ago my mechanic pretty much became unglued telling me about all the problems his customers with American cars come in with and how their design makes repairs much more complicated and expensive than they need to be. and he's domestic built himself if you know what I mean.

Q: What the biggest rim size can the new 2007 Honda CRV take?
I heard some one put 24" inch on the new CRV, but most people said 24" wouldn't fit in, and they said the biggest is 22". I am confused, if you have any idea, please let me know and will there be any rubbing under the fender? Also what is the widest size that can be fitted on CRV? Thank you.

A: The biggest you should go is 22" and the widest you should go is 8.5". Any bigger and you'll be running into problems with rubbing, plus it will just be an uncomfortable ride. Personally, I'd go with a rim between 18-20", and no more than 8" wides (20" being the absolute biggest) because the ride quality will be better and you won't have to worry about rubbing. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/results.jsp?&autoMake=Honda&autoModel=CRV+EX&autoYear=2007&autoModClar=&filterSize=All&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand has a wide range of sizes.

Q: Does installing remote start in a 2007 Honda CRV EX-L compromise security?
I spoke with a person at a local shop and he says they have to bypass something in the ignition. A lockout chip or something. If I was to have this installed, should I be concerned about car theft?

A: yes it does because you have to have a programed key inside the car. it is hiddin inside a box, but it is still there. if the criminal knows that you have a remote starter then all he has to do is find the key and drive away. as long as the installer hides the bypass box really well then chances are it will never be a problem.

Q: problems with 2007 honda crv?
I have a new 2007 CRV and had had 3 issues with it..the main one being the starter...every few weeks..I turn the key..DEAD..turn again..starts..Honda HQ will not give me a new car..will not keep this one there and give me a rental for more than a few days..they need to keep for a few weeks for it to happen. I paid in full when I got it and I hate this suv now. I always had toyota's..I do not know why I did not stick with Toyota. Is there nothing I can do now? Am I going to have to lose money by trading it in for a toyota? I can not believe Honda will not do more. I am very upset. I have not enjoyed having a new car at all. I have not been going to the dealer where I got the car...too far..so I have been using the local dealer for service..BUT I have a case with HQ Honda and they are the ones who say they can nt do anything if they can not duplicate the issue. This is what is frustrating and I cannot do the lemon law because of the same thing..they have to attempt repairs 3 times and if they cant duplicate it they cant attempt. to the last poster..where do you live? What has Honda done to resolve your issue? I need to find someone who has the problem where the dealer figured it out and fixed it..as for the tire light..I had that too..they fixed that finally...some part they had to order

A: Make sure you go back to your original dealer unless they are the ones giving you problems. Hondas are great cars, but every now and then one has problems just as in any make including toyota. If your dealer is uncooperative, contact Honda to see if they can work out something with you directly through the dealer. We have had instances over the years where Honda will take back your old car and help you move into a new one. It is part of their good faith policy. Lemon law generally only refers to the same problem not being resolved atleast 3-5 times. It can be very costly to pursue and is difficult to accomplish in some states. PS: complaining harshly to the service department won't help. If you are overly nice to them, they will be less likely to discount you as just a "habitual complainer". We get some people that just out of their way to complain about any item. Be firm with them, but do not act rudely or insulting.

Q: I just bought a 2007 Honda CRV, but it is brand new. I hate it can is there anyway I can return it?
Well my parents without asking me bought this pos and I wanted an escape I want to return it is this possible. We bought it yesterday.

A: Keep it for a few years. It will get better. The dealership will probably put up a fight if you try to "return" without losing more money than it is worth. I don't care much for the new CRV - but it is a decent vehicle. Hope you got the Nav - I love that screen. Don't go for the escape - total pos. Check around - read posts on edmunds.com. Actual vehicle owners post there, not just a expert review.

Q: How do I replace the Passenger side Headlight bulb on my 2007 Honda CRV?

A: open the hood and there are wing nuts there should be three and unscrew the nuts pull out the casing and unscrew the light and replace the bulb pretty easy

Q: Has anyone purchased a Honda 2007 CRV below MSRP?
I’d like to purchase a 2007 Honda CRV LX (INVOICE: $19,061 MSRP: $20,600) does anyone have experience purchasing this car at a dealership and successfully paying below MSRP? Also, I live in San Diego so if you could direct me to dealers in southern California (I’m willing to travel as far as Los Angeles) please let me know! =)

A: try this site, if they are not already below MSRP, I am sure they can get a dealer to go below that http://www.carsdirect.com/home

Q: Retail price for 2007 Honda CRV EX rims?
Anyone know the retail price for crv rims like these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-2007-CRV-Alloys-OEM-4-rims_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43957QQihZ009QQitemZ190199821151QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW#ebayphotohosting

A: They would usually sell for around $300 at a dealer. This sounds like a bad deal, since it's only the rims and nothing else (tires, tpms sensors, etc.), plus it has minor damage. If it was cheaper I'd say get it, but with no warranty/ refund for that price... I'd personally pass.

Q: I live in Jersey, where can I purchase the 2007 CRV Honda UK wheels?
The honda oem wheels from Europe look very nice, where can I purchase this from in the states, or website?

A: Go to your local Honda dealer (parts center), They should be able to order them directly from the manufacturer. Because the parts aren't from the states, it will probably cost you a little extra for the parts themselves along with shipping and handling costs as well. If you really like the wheels, the extra cost shouldn't upset you that much, but it could end up being a pretty penny. Also, don't let the dealership tell you they're "unable" to order parts from the UK, because I know it's possible. Good luck.

Q: What is the difference between the 2007 Honda CRV EX and LX?

A: LX - Power windows, power locks, cd, cruise, keyless entry, side and curtain airbags. EX- power sunroof, 6 disc cd changer, upgraded interior, perimiter alarm, alloy rims, on top of above mentioned features

Q: What are some GOOD fog lights for a HONDA CRV 2007?
Not too sure if OEM is the best out there. I want one thats very close to it, none of those mini knockoffs that don't even cover the slot.

A: Honda fog lights use an integrated design for a factory-installed appearance Precision optics provide a highly controlled light pattern to enhance your visibility in dense fog, rain or snow Special housing is resistant to water, impact and corrosion Plug in connectors mean no wire splicing or cutting for more reliability. This is the best bang for your buck.......Trust me oem all the way

Q: Can I download for free a copy of a UK 2007 HONDA CRV owners manual in PDF?

Q: What do you think of 2007 Honda CRV SUV?
I hope they can make compact suv someday . I liked what they did the older crv moders in 1996-2000.

A: I thought it was a pretty good car. I test drove it but it was a bit over my budget. The handling is way better than the older models. It's slightly bigger than the 1996 model but it is easier to drive. I say go for it!

Q: Is there anything I should know about a 2007/2008 Honda CRV EX-L?
I am planning on getting one, and I have test driven it several times. Is there anything I should know about it that I wouldn't get from a simple test drive? Is there something I should ask the dealer about? Basicly, I want to know if there is anything hidden that will surface down the road that I should be aware of.

A: dude check at carfax. is you know number of engine: car fax will give you info. Plus the consumer reports.

Q: Does anyone own a new 2007 Honda CRV? Where did they put the spare tire? Is it a full size spare?
Is it better than 2002-2006 models? Do you like the new placement of the shifter on the floor instead of on the dashboard? Is it worth buying?

A: The ride is softer, the interior has a more luxury feel to it... Heck, even on the reviews such as edmunds, it is said that Honda purposely "urbanized" CR-V. You can look the urbanization directly on the stance, sporting a low slung coupe look, and a lower center of gravity. The spare tire is located at the rear section, on the bottom of the double decker storage compartment. The space is actually available on the 2nd generation CR-V (2002-2006) models. In Asia, it is common to see "smooth rear" 2nd generation CR-V, because to everybody surprise, most CR-V owners doesn't realize they have an additional full size spare tire storage on the inside of the car. Once they knew about it, it's off to mod garage we go... I even used to think that the "smooth rear" CR-V users are dumb people because they get rid of the spare...Shame on me, cause I didn't know about the inner storage space back then. So in reality, you can have two full size spare tire on 2nd generation CR-V. This is why the 3rd generation CR-V doesn't have the spare tire dangling on the back anymore, because people just move the spares inside.
