Q: Will 2005 honda civic ex brakes fit on a 1997 honda civic ex?
I have a totaled 2005 honda civic ex with new brakes and was wondering if they would fit on my 1997 honda civic ex. Also what other parts are interchangable between these two cars.

I have lost my user's manual and cannot remember how to change the time that is displayed on my clock in my 2005 Honda Civic. I know this is a sort of dumb question, but I would like to thanks in advice for the help!
A: look for the clock button on the radio and push it with the car on but the radio off u should hear a beep after like 30 seconds...if u dont hear the beep keep holding the clock button down and mash the h and m buttons and the time will change...i cant remember if that one beeps or not done to many different ones at theis point in time with the time change and all...good luck

A: when the car had 35,400 miles on my 05 ex-se my c.d's started skipping or being rejected. they played before that and also in my other car. I mentioned it to the service advisor who said since the radio only had a warranty until 36,000 miles he would replace it for me. he did not want to take the change if it totally died and then i would have to buy a replacement. but to answer your question the buttons started to get that worn-out look. sold the car so do not know how the new radio is.

A: no, you're better of switching the deck. you can get a deck for about $100 and that will give you flexibility to add amps for the other speakers as well, plus mp3 or an ipod connection.

that site has the Honda factory manuals which, by your previous questions, is the only thing that will help you get whatever information you are looking for. There are separate manuals for the body and electrical. In terms of the chassis you would need the body manual for chassis specifications and location points for measurements. for electrical, the engine and basic wiring is in the regular manual; the wiring diargams are in the electrical manual.
the gasoline engines are different between the VTEC and non-VTEC engines. Other than that they all "fit". VTEC engines have different wiring harnesses and a different PCM to control VTEC.
the hybrid is a unique vehicle. little is interchangeable as it uses a 3 cylinder engine that is only found on the hybrid, a unique start clutch and CVT transmission that are not on the regular Civics

I hit another car with the left-front of my car, and now the horn doesn't work. It's not the fuse. I'm pretty sure it's the horn itself. I have a 2005 Honda Civic. My biggest problem is, I don't know how to GET to the horn itself.
A: Nothing goes wrong with the horn itself. With the impact, I am sure, one of the cables has been disconnected. If you find the horn, just reconnect it, I hope it will work alright. Dont go for relay, it is just a stupid idea some body gave above to change relay after the impact.

A: On the LX model, no. But with an engine swap ,the K20A from the civic SI, or RSX type-s you could almost double the horsepower you have now.

A: If it's just a better colour match you're after, I don't see it costing more than a couple of hundred quid at the most. If there is "orange peel" or runs or any other physical imperfection then there may have to be a bit of remedial work done beforehand.
If you've paid somone to paint your bonnet and they've made a mess of it, why not just take it back and make them do it right?

A: All the information I am listing is the same for all 01-05 Civic coupes. All the bulbs can be purchased at your local Honda dealer.
The map light for the EX models is: Honda part number 34253-SZ3-003 (12V 5W T10) bulb. 3 are required. List price of $1.73 each.
The map light for the LX models is: Honda part number 34253-671-003 (12V 8W) bulb. 2 are required. List price of $3.07 each.
The dome light for the Civic coupe is: Honda part number 34253-S5P-A01 (12.8V 10W) (T-3) bulb. 1 is required. List price of $2.55.

I want to get a Yakima fairing for the bike rack on my bf's 2005 Honda Civic. What size is best for this car? Some web sites say that 38" is ideal for the Civic, but the Yakima web site gives the 44" as the option when I plug in information there (it's a Civic Sedan). Does anyone have personal experience with these fairings and know which size is ideal?
A: These fairings are easy to mount and neither will actually "not fit" on your car. Yakima is super-rigorous with their testing, so go with what their Fit Guide recommends. If you're buying it from a store, tell them that you saw that the Yakima website gave a different size and ask them why they're recommending the smaller size. They can double-check with Yakima to ensure a proper fit. I installed Yakima racks for 10 years at a large shop.

A: small increase in hp if you want a nice sound a good hp gain do as your doing so far, install the headers first once youve done that, then install a cat back exhaust. hope your asking this question before you get the headers, this way you find out that its gonna be alot cheaper if you buy headers and a full catback together at the same time. as far as installation goes, get a pro to do it. not only will you be sure the placed everything properly but they will be able to tell you your hp gains

This vehicle was totaled by accident or vandalism or worst fire, flooding... remember the saying if its too good to be true ....right thats the case here.. pay the money for a carfaxed used or a new car... remember vehicles that have been in accidents like that never truly come back to how they used to ride, reliability becomes an issue and like another person in this thread said,, you lose 50 to 75% of the vehicles value..
