Q: What after market speaks fit the 2006 Honda Civic?
Just purchased a used 2006 Honda Civic EX Sedan and I love everything about it except the speakers. I don't want a booming system, just something that will sound better than stock with a little bit more bass. Anyone have 2006 Civic that has investigated this or attempted to change these speakers??
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks
A: just look what the speaker size is and get those and those will fit fine
most likely your front speakers are 6 1/2 inches and the back might be the same im not shurr about those
Q: How can I get my 2006 Honda Civic to bypass the sensors so it can take advantage of the HHO cell I just added?
I had a company that makes and install the kits to produce HHO gas install a system on my 2006 Honda Civic. The system is making plenty of hydrogen. I am not getting any gas mileage increase and I really think it is because the computer or sensors are not allowing it to be used properly. So, I was wondering if anyone may have any knowledge on how to bypass the necessary sensors to allow my car to get its improved gas mileage.
A: Contrary to other jerks here, these systems WILL be on a few production cars starting this year!
Bypassing the sensors will vary from car to car. It boils down to whether you have a mass air flow sensor or a map sensor. Each is very different and modifying the signal to the computer on the highway is the key. Mass air flow is harder and less information is available for modifying it. You can buy map sensor devices all over the place.
Be forewarned! Running your car lean can burn a piston or exhaust valve if done incorrectly!!! It can cost thousands of dollars to fix. If you run your car lean you need to know how lean it's running using a guage that you can buy from the parts store that is VERY easy to hook up. You also need to monitor the engine temperature very closely to make sure it's not running hotter than before after adding the HHO back to the intake with your kit. A sure sign something is wrong will be the engine running hotter than normal or the mixture showing more lean than normal with the hho and the device modifying the map sensor off.
Many people are dying to have this technology but it's not stable in my opinion for all cars at this point. There are people making computers that will control this on most cars to make it easier but knowledge is very important if you want to run it now. Food for thought.
Ignore all the morons calling it a scam. I have absolutely no connection with smackbooster and personally think it's a stupid name but he's even got one that's clear with chrome top and bottom on his motorcycle. It's quite impressive.
Good luck and don't be discouraged by dimwits that bash something they haven't even tried.
Q: How to change battery on a keyless entry remote for a 2006 honda civic?
How to change battery on a keyless entry remote for a 2006 honda civic?
A: look on the back of the key. you'll find a small phillips head screw at the bottom of the back by the metal key. remove that screw then simply pry the case apart at the bottom using your fingernail or a small screwdriver blade. the case with then separate in two and the battery is can be removed.
most Honda dealers will change the battery for you at no charge if you buy the battery from them
you'll find the picture on page 85 of your owner's manual if you have one.
hope that helps
as a note, there should be a red LED on the top of the remote that comes on when you press any of the buttons. if the light comes on, the battery is OK. if it doesn't then its time to repalce the battery.
hope that helps
Q: How many master keys come with a 2006 Honda Civic?
I recently bought a 2006 Honda Civic from a private seller. He told me that the car came with 2 master keys and one valet key. When I went to pick up the car his wife gave me one master key and the valet key. She said she wasnt aware of another master key.
I read the manual and it mentions 2 master keys. I would like to know if these people still have one of my keys.
A: I bet they do. If your car disappears one day, you'll know what they did with it.
Q: how do i use the pc card reader on my 2006 honda civic ex navi?
i have a 2006 honda civic ex with the navigation system. im getting tired of burning so many cd's and want to use the pc card reader that comes with the navigation. what do i need to use it?
A: I don't think you can - reading removable media reader needs special drivers, and a standard navigation system cannot do that. Even connecting a USB drive through a standard port is not an automatic thing to work.

Thanks in advance for all the replies!
it doesn't matter if the airbag is used or new. I just because it is legal in my state. Any other suggestions? Thanks for the replies guys!

Q: How do i trick out my 2006 Honda Civic Coupe EX?
I have a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe EX and I want to make it faster and a cooler ride? What are some affordable methods of adding horsepower or extra equiptment to make it faster? Would flowmaster exhaust systerms help or doing something with the computer chip?
A: Hey,
Civics are pretty cool.
As far as mods...
I personally wouldnt touch the computer chip...yet.
I would save that as the very last thing you do as fasr as performance mods.
Because...for one...reporgraming is a little expensive...secondly and most importantly...it cultivates everything together for best performance at the present time.
The bad thing is if you do a chip early in your modding...the "chipping" will be rendered useless when you change your cams, add headers, intakes, or any other engine upgrades.
So basically, think of the chipping as the icing on the cake.
As far as HP gains...
A Cold air intake will bring more air into the engine, which creates more power during combustion. They also generally help with throttle response bringing forth higher power gains.
Plus it also adds a little depth to accelleration.
Changing up your spark plug wires will also bring forth more power not to mention reducing misfires. They should go hand in hand with better spark plugs.
Headers will allow the engine to breathe more freely and will give you some nice HP gains.
Catback exhausts will also give more HP and torque by allow are to pass through more freely with less backpressure.
I would go with the exhaust mod rather than the Chip mod...if you plan on doing more to the car's drivetrain in the future.
As far as making it lok cooler...its based on personal taste as well...but a lip kit or a different bodykit will make your car stand out from all the other same colored civics out there as well.
Subtle things as clear sidemarkers, window tint, and different rims and tires will give points on the cosmetic scale.
Inidglow gauges, componet gauges in a pillar and a few led accent lights can spice up the interior as well
Q: What is the first performance part I should buy to improve my 2006 Honda Civic EX Sedan in the horsepower area
I just got my first car, a 2006 Honda Civic EX, the fist thing I noticed is that it has O.K. POWER but not enough for my liking, I want to give it some more power, so Im asking for any suggestions on what part or parts should I buy to give it some more horsepower. I'm thinking about buying a Performance Module, but if anybody knows of anything that will be better than this can you tell me
A: Before you do any mods to your car, if you are still under warranty from Honda, call the service dept and ask the adviser if putting in any of the suggestions will void your warranty. Some dealers will advise you to purchase certain type or if you purchase and they install, the warranty is good.
Q: Which one you prefer? 2005 honda civic coupe ex special edition or 2006 honda civic coupe ex?
I don´t know which one looks better. Both cars cost almost the same. The 2006 honda civic coupe is getting very popular while the 2005 honda civic coupe ex special edition(I think) is less common. I just want your opinion, which one you prefer?
A: i like the 06 better check the link i provided and you'll know why. but then again im into performace from honda.
Q: Adding an ipod to a 2006 Honda CIvic LX?
I have a 2006 Civic LX and an ipod. I dont know/ want to do anything myself since it'll void my warranty. Should I buy an audio in done by Honda or the Ipod Music Link? I want premium quality with a very low price tag.
I wish it just came with an audio in...can someone suggest a good cheap solution without voiding my Honda Warranty?
A: Get the Monster Icarplay. It hooks right up into the cigarette lighter and charges it while playing. It's good because Monster is a damn good brand. It's $53.24 at this place but I know you can find it for about $40 if you look hard enough. It's about $75 at retail stores.

I have one, my girl has one, my brother has one, and my best friend has one. Our only complaint is that it does get a lot of static when driving on a bridge.
Q: Any quality problem on the new 2006 Honda Civic?
I heard that there are quality problems found on the new 2006 civic. There is a noisy "clark clark" sound heard from the driver seat, especially when driving through the road bump. Hope you can share your experience, advise and comment.
A: I bought a 2006 EX 5speed Coupe last Fall, and I'm very happy with it. If you check out the link below for Yahoo! Autos and read the user reviews, you'll get a good cross-section of answers.
As for my car, I can tell you that the following has gone on with it:
1) There was this bizarre thing with my airbag malfunction light turning on at random, which turned out to be a bad sensor in the passenger's seat, and which was replaced free of charge as a recall item.
2) The car's literature all refers to a "walk-in memory seat" on the passenger side, meaning to me that the seat would return to its original position after you let someone into the back...while the fore/aft positioning does, indeed, do that, the seatback angle totally changes. Some memory! My dealer says that fore/aft counts as memory, and i got what was advertised. Sigh.
3) While the sound system on the EX (top of the line) is quite good in many ways, the rear speakers can get a bit "buzzy" at moderate volumes on low bass notes. I thought I blew a speaker, but as it turns out, the speaker is just not all that good.
4) The car has minimal sound-deadening material (to keep its weight down, I suppose) and basic tire and road noise is quite noticeable, though engine noise at cruising speed is very respectably quiet.
5) Some reviewers have noted a squeaky noise at the windshield/A Pillar, but I have not had an issue like that.
I still don't have an ounce of buyers' remorse with this car. I get 35 mpg in city driving (I'm a gentle, if not necessarily slow driver) which I think is remarkable for a non-hybrid. Any issues that might give the car a distinct "economy" feel are duly forgiven when I make my monthly fill-ups for less than $35...doubly so if there's a hulking SUV filling up at the same time (oh, the laughs I've had....). This is a terrific car that will go gently on your wallet three times: At time of purchase, with ongoing maintainence/fuel needs, and at resale time...the same three moments that make some cars feel as if they've gotten the best of you. As a side note, this is also the safest car in its class (5 star in every category, and IIHS Gold Safety best pick 2006).
The link below should help you feel out both the positive and negative that folks have to say about this car. I found it very helpful.
Q: I own a Honda Civic 2006 EX. I am planning to buy a Honda Accessory called "Wheel Locks".Is it good to buy?
I own a Honda Civic 2006 EX. I am planning to buy a Honda Accessory called "Wheel Locks".Is it good to buy? Can anyone tell me how to install this?
Thanks,
Makesh
A: It's an accessory that is used to prevent wheel theft. "Is it a good buy?" They cost $30-$50, so it's not a huge investment. If you feel that you park your car in unsafe neighborhoods and think the vehicle's wheels are suject to being stolen, then yes, this will act as a preventative security measure.
To install, take off the exisitng lug nuts and put one wheel lock on each wheel in its place. And make sure you know where you keep the key to be sure you can get the wheel off if necessary!
