Q: How to make 2004 Honda Odyssey seats more comfortable?
My husband just bought a used 2004 Honda Odyssey, but the cloth seats are so uncomfortable for me. Can I put covers on the seats to make them more comfortable or put in different seats? Where would I get the covers and seats from? Thanks
A: Buy a leather seat cover.
Q: How can I make my 2004 Honda Odyssey quieter inside?
My can is very loud inside, especially on the highway. There are no air leaks or defects, it's just loud. Would Dynamat work? Any special tires? You really have to shout to be heard at highway speeds.
ft3535, I looked up lizard skin and it looks like a great idea, I just have two questions I didn't see on the web page. 1) does this stuff trap moisture leading to rust? and 2) Any harm to applying to a large area with a brush? I don't have a spray gun. Thanks!
A: go to this web site
this is some new great stuff that really works.....

Q: Where is the tail light fuse for a 2004 Honda Odyssey?
It doesn't seem to be listed in the Owner's Manual. I see back-up lights, headlights, interior lights, etc. But nothing referencing tail lights or brake lights.
A: Look in your owners manual, it will tell you. Also, did you have any work done on your radio? If so, sometimes circuits are ran through the radio and if installation of the radio is done improperly sometimes you lose things like parking lights and/or tail lights, dashboard lights and instrument panel lights. Also, is it your tail lights or your break lights? If it's your brake lights then it could be your brake light switch or even a relay, though this one is highly unlikely. I don't know the Odyssey very well.
Q: I have to decided between purchasing a 2004 honda odyssey ex 58,000 mile. Or a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SE?
35,000 miles. Both same price but I can't decide which one will be more dependable and which would be safer for my kids. Any comments?
A: Get the Dodge, the Honda is actually the van that has problems. Just do a google search on honda odyssey problems, you will find transmission and door problems. Plus the dodge is newer and has less miles.

Q: want to buy used mini van. 2004 honda odyssey w/50k or 2007 dodge cara. w/5k? honda more reliable?
I have 2 kids, love the folding rear seat of honda, but not the miles. like stow and go seating in grand caravans, but feel like they're not well made. I was told to go for the honda, because they're supposed to be more reliable, but I don't like all the miles on it. Any ideas?
A: See the answers and disagree, your problem with this question is everyone will give you an oppinion. Mine is that Dodge is garbage. I have, as well as my friends and family, NEVER had a reliable Dodge vehicle. Dodge has GARBAGE transmissions, and they usually get engine noise within a few years. Not to mention the fact that this multibillion dollar company still can't figure out how to get their paint to stick.
As for Honda, I've only had a few, but they were old with tons of miles, so I trust them. Your best bet is to look up online, see what people say about both vehicles. Look at blue-book values on older versions of each, I will venture a guess that the Honda holds it's value far better than Dodge.
Honestly, I don't know anyone with a Dodge that hasn't been forced to get rid of it within a few years because of the problems they started to have.
Q: Does anyone know how much gas would cost from California to Dallas,TX in a 2004 Honda Odyssey?
A: It's not the hard to figure out. Do you have a good idea of how may MPG your Odyssey gets?
Go to Mapquest.com and figure out how many miles you will be travelling. Divide your Miles travelled by your MPG. This will determine the amount of fuel needed. (Add an extra couple of gallons for Stops, detours, etc)
Once you determined your route via Mapquest you can go to GasBuddy.com and find actual gas costs along your route.
Hope this helps
Q: LATCH Tether in 2004 Honda Odyssey?
I can't locate the tether to harness my child's car seat in our 2004 Odyssey. We just purchased it used and it did not come with a manual.
A: the 2004 Odyssey only has the LATCH tethers in the two center row seats. there are no LATCH tethers in the third row seat
here's what the 2004 Odyssey owners manual has to say about the LATCH system
LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) in the two second row seats. The lower anchors are located between the seat-back
and seat bottom, and are to be used only with a child seat designed for
use with LATCH.
The location of each lower anchor is marked with a small button above
the point. To install a LATCH-compatible child seat:
Move the seat belt buckle or tongue away from the lower
anchors. Make sure there are no objects near the anchors that could
prevent a secure connectionbetween the child seat and anchors.
Place the child seat on the vehicle seat, and attach the seat to the
lower anchors according to the child seat maker’s instructions.
Some LATCH-compatible seats have a rigid-type connection
Other LATCH-compatible seats have a flexible-type connection
Whatever type you have, follow the child seat maker’s instructions
for adjusting or tightening the fit
Make sure the strap is not twisted, then tighten the strap according to
the child seat maker’s instructions.
Push and pull the child seat forward and from side-to-side to
verify that it is secure.
hope that helps
Q: Where do you add transmission fluid to a 2004 honda odyssey? I'm having trouble finding it.?
A: ask a mechanic to show you
Q: Are both front wheels on the 2004 Honda Odyssey powered by the engine?
We just bought a 2004 Odyssey. I am curious if both front wheels are driven by the motor? In many front wheel drive cars, only one of the front wheels is actually turned by the motor. I just wanted to know what to expect from the van when I hit snow. I bought it for a great price from a Toyota dealer and his techs didn't know the answer to my question. This may not seem like an important question but I traded in a 2007 sport sedan in which I knew that both wheels were turning when I stepped on the gas so I had great traction in the snow.
A: torque steer is actually a problem related to the drive axles. in a front wheel drive car, usually the engine and transmission sit beside each other. which means that there is more of a gap between the transmission and the wheel on one side compared to the other. the difference in axle lengths means that one (the shorter one) usually is stronger transferring more power without twisting. this is why one wheel feels more powerful than others. on ice or wet pavement, power just like electricity just takes the path of least resistance. my only advice is get a set of good quality tires.
Q: how many quarts of oil does a 2004 honda odyssey take?
A: It takes 4.9 quarts, but I always just put 5 in mine.
Q: Front heat doesn't work on Honda Odyssey rear works?
I have a 2004 Honda Odyssey and the front heater doesn't work(it blows cold air) The rear heater works and blows hot air. What is the problem? Thanks
A: Just a guess but ... low radiator fluid.
Q: Honda Odyssey 2004 driver side sliding door doesn't latch, how to fix problem ?
A: try adjusting the latch.
Q: Does Honda Odyssey 2004 has ignition cut-off that turns itself on?
How to find out?
A: does it stall intermittently for no reason? if it does it may have a bad ignition switch. it has an immobilizer that prevents unauthorized starting but i need more information to properly answer your question.
Q: looking for clues to removing the in dash cup holder from a 2004 Honda 2004 Odyssey?
A: I don't remember the location of that cupholder but I do remember a few customers who lost id badges or credit cards behind the cupholder when they pushed the cupholder in. If its in the center of the dash below the heater controls it takes about 4 hours to get it out with instructions--you'll have to take it to a dealer to have that done.
if it is the a separate center instrument panel that is between the upper dash and the lower cd bucket then you can probably get it out yourself. (I think this is where it is) That center section has four screws that hold it in. One is in the upper right of the panel, and a second is on the lower right. You probably have to open the glove box door to see them.
the left side is also held in by two screws. you may have to take the under dash cover off from below the steering column to see the upper left one. It should be on the same horizontal line as the upper right one. The other left side screw is behind the door for the storage tray (?) in the center of that panel. I think the door opens for cd storage. again, I'm working off memory only, but I think the cup holder you're asking about is underneath that tray. anyway, the tourth screw is in the upper left hand corner of that cd storage tray compartment. with all four screws removed you should be able to slide that whole section out towards you. I don't remember if there are any electricals behind that. You may have some wire harness connectors behind that panel--if you feel resistance as you pull it forward then you'll have to disconnect those harness connectors.
hope that helps
