Q: My 2007 Honda Odyssey Ex Van does not start always when it is cold.?
My 2007 Honda Odyssey Ex battery started giving trouble recently. It does not start in the cold morning. Not sure why since it is just 6 months old.

A: take it to the dealer and explain your problem. Unless you have over 36,000 miles on it, it will be covered under your factory warranty.

Hi folks, I wanted to ask if there is a way I can purchase a 2007 Honda Odyssey with 1,500.00 down with a FICO of 544 and my wife's FICO of 540, out the door. Simply, 1500.00 down. How much would my monthly be?

A: avg price of an odyssey is around 29000 so im guessing financed. i would say an apr of 6% for 48 months. probably 700.00 dollars a month

Q: Is it possible to swap the XM brain for Sirius in my 2007 Honda Odyssey?
I have seen similar ads for GM vehicles that allow you swap the "brain" of your receiver from XM to Sirius, but I haven't seen anything for my 2007 Honday Odyssey.

A: Sattelite radio is overrated. Buy some cd's. You could just wait until they merge too.

Q: Recommendations on a 2007 Honda Odyssey Warranty?
I am considering getting an extended warranty for my 2007 Honda Odyssey. Has anyone used the Honda Care warranty before? Do they pay up if things go wrong or do they try to wiggle their way out and play the "this is not covered" game. Can you please share your experiences.

A: I have had extended new car warranties in the past and have had minor dealer warranty work done in the past and have encountered no problems.

Q: What is the invoice price on a 2007 Honda Odyssey ex-L with RES?
Can anyone tell me the invoice price on the Honda Odyssey EX-L with RES (that's the DVD) in Canadian dollars please??? Or does someone know of a free website where I could find this out? Thanks very much! I find it hard to find this information in Canadian dollars! I really need it in Canadian dollars please...edmunds is US but thanks anyway.

A: I could only find the MSRP of $42200. Based on readily available US pricing, the invoice is probably around $37500. I looked at Yahoo Canada (under other yahoo services if it does not automatically come up for you as the Canada sight) and could not get much more than MSRP. I will advise you on one thing. This car may have run flat tires. They usually only last half as long, and cost upwards of $1200 to replace, if the dealer is even capable of doing it (most shops are not capable of it). Most Honda dealers advise new rims and tires at that time, and that is about $1750+.

Q: How do you adjust 2007 Honda Odyssey headlights?
I upgraded my stock halogen lamps to the Sylvania Ultra SilverStar lamps. They're brighter than the stock lamps but I need to adjust the vertical adjustment slightly.

A: you can adjust the lights. If you open the hood and look on the radiator support (the black steel panel that runs across the front of the engine compartment) and looking directly to the rear of the headlamp you'll see a hole. That hole is recessed and is about the size of a quarter. In the center of the hole is another hole that is big enough for a phillips head screwdriver. Insert a phillips head screwdriver into the hole until it meshes with the gear for the headlamp adjuster. In effect, when you turn the screwdriver the tip becomes a gear and as you turn it you will rotate the shaft that provides for the headlamp adjustment.. That will provide for the vertical adjustment. You can turn the screwdriver clockwise and counterclockwise; the gear moves in both directions to lower or raise the vertical adjustment. There is one hole in the radiator support on each side. The hole should be about 2 inches inboard from the hood bumpers. the honda measure for the vertical adjustment is to park the car in front of a wall about 3 feet away. turn the headlights on. Put a piece of tape on the wall to mark the center of each headlamp projection. Then back the car up to 25 feet from the wall. A properly adjusted headlamp will be 2.5 inches below the initial marks. Obviously, you better have very level ground from the wall back in order for this adjustment method to be valid. hope that helps

Q: What size is the screen on the 2007 Honda Odyssey Rear Entertainment system?
Should I go with the OEM RES or opt for an Alpine Rear Entertainment System?

A: It's a 9" monitor. Personally I'd go with the OEM RES, just because if something goes wrong, it's under warranty and it's Honda's problem. With an aftermarket system, it's up to you to fix any problems. Good luck!

Q: Does anyone know where the sensor is for the outside temp on a 2007 Honda odyssey?
I have the EX-L model with Navigation. The reason I ask is I live in Minnesota and the garage is always warmer then the outside. I just am trying to find out where the cold air hits to bring the temp down on my thermometer.

A: on the bumper by the lic plate, if you are short trip driving the temp sensor will not update, you have to be traveling over 25mph for more than a minute for the temp sensor to drop or raise the temp displayed in your vehicle. also the temp sensor will only drop prox 1 degree per min of driving.

A: Don't start the car but go into the warm up mode. And then hold down the button that resets ur milleage for 30 sec. It either works in warm up or when it is started... but wait till it has been blinking... also for some cars it's 10 seconds for others its 30 seconds. Some u have to press it number of times. But for hondas i believe it to be 30 sec.

Q: How to Program a master key for a honda odyssey 2007 exl please help?

A: If you are adding a new key then the key has to be reprogrammed by a Honda dealer as that vehicle has immobilizer on it and the key has a chip in it. you will need to have all keys available to reprogram at the same time. reprogramming changes the codes in the immobilizer unit so that only those keys will start the car. Honda dealers will charge you to reprogram the keys for the immobilizer. if it is the remote keyless entry on the key fob that you want to reprogram you can do that yourself. Most honda dealers will program the keyless remote for free. you can do it yourself if necessary. to program the remote you follow this procedure you need to sit in the drivers seat with all of the doors closed for this programming procedure to work. leave the doors unlocked when you start the procedure. 1. put the ignition key in the ignition but do not turn it on. hold the remote to be programmed in your left hand. 2) with your right hand, turn the ignition key to the ON postion so that the lights on the dash come on. you do not need to start the car. within 3 seconds, push the lock button on the remote in your left hand. 3) turn the ignition key to the off position. then turn the ignition key to the ON position agai. within 3 seconds press the lock button on the remote. then turn the ignition key OFF. 4) repeat that procedure 2 more times. on the 4th cycle you should hear the transmitter operate the door locks. and the doors should lock. then use the remote to open the doors. after that, turn the ignition key to the OFF position. your transitter will be programmed to the vehicle.

Q: 2007 Honda Odyssey touring, where's the XM reciever located?
I have a kit to switch over to sirius but I can't find reciever box. Tore down the right rear of the interior but could'nt see the box. Any ideas?

A: Not too sure about the location in a Honda, the Sirius module in my VW GTI is under the front passenger seat - did you look there in the Odyssey? The original XM module was a dealer installed option - call your local Honda dealer to find out for sure before you rip into any other parts of your vehicle.

Q: Is it worth getting a 30,000 mile checkup for my 2007 Honda Odyssey, or is the dealer just trying to make $?
My 2007 Honda Odyssey has 28,000 miles. It has a maintenance minder system that tells you when to go in for oil changes and other maintenance. Recently it said it needed an oil change and tire rotation. However my dealer is trying to get me to do a 30,000 mile checkup for $400. I've looked in the Honda owner's manual and besides the regular maintenance items indicated by the maintenance minder, there's nothing that is recommended for 30,000 miles. Is there any point to getting these standard checkups from dealerships at certain mileage points, or are these just big money makers for dealers?

A: A engine air filter, cabin air filter, oil change, and tire rotation are due. The rest of the 30k service is mostly inspections.....but a lot of them. It is good to have it checked over because if they find anything it would probably be under warranty.....you wouldn't want to find out later once the car is out of warranty. A smaller reputable shop can do the inspection and/or 30k service for you probably at a cheaper rate but if they do find something you will have to go back to the dealer anyways if it is under warranty. Good luck! PS maintenance if VERY important if you want a reliable vehicle
