Q: Does the 2008 Honda Pilot come in manual?
I'm thinking about getting a 2008 Honda Pilot and I was looking at it's features online and it did not specify it coming in a manual. I know I have the option to get a 4WD, but normally when the desription states 4WD, it would state manual as well. Does it come in manuel or not?
A: No, the 2008 Pilot does not have an option for 5MT, sorry.
Q: 2008 Honda Pilot Universal Garage Door Opener?
I just bought a 2008 Honda Pilot and want to know if I have a Universal Garage Door Opener. It looks like I have the 3 buttons above the rearview mirror, but I can't find instrucations in the manual. Help please.
A: 1. For first time training, press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons, releasing only when the HomeLink indicator light begins to flash after 20 seconds. (Do not perform this step when training the additional HomeLink buttons.)
2. Position the hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink surface (located on your overhead), keeping the HomeLink indicator light in view.
3. Using both hands, simultaneously press and hold both the desired HomeLink button and hand held transmitter button. DO NOT release until the HomeLink indicator light flashes slowly and then rapidly. When the indicator light flashes rapidly, both buttons may be released. (The rapid flashing indicates successful training.)
Note: Some garage door openers may require you to replace step 3 with the “cycling” procedure noted in the “View Canadian Instructions” section.
4. Press and hold the trained HomeLink button and observe the indicator light.
If the indicator light is solid/continuous, training is complete and your device should activate when the HomeLink button is pressed and released.
If the indicator light blinks rapidly for 2 seconds and then turns a solid/continuous light, proceed with the following training instructions for a rolling code device. A second person may make the following steps quicker and easier. Please use a ladder or other device. Do not stand on your vehicle to perform the next steps.
5. At the garage door opener receiver (motorhead unit) in the garage, locate the “learn” or “smart” button (usually near where the hanging antenna wire is attached to the unit). If there is difficulty locating the training button, reference the garage door opener’s manual or contact us.
6. Press and release the “learn” or “smart” button (the name and color of the button may vary by manufacturer). NOTE: Once the button is pressed, there are 30 seconds in which to initiate the next step.
7. Return to the vehicle and firmly press and hold the trained HomeLink button for two seconds and release. Repeat the “press/hold/release” sequence up to 3 times to complete the training process.
HomeLink should now activate your device
Q: What is the lowest price I can get on a 2008 Honda Pilot EXL?
Will there be any cash-back incentives in the near future. Trying to decide if I should wait a few months.
A: Depending with out nav and such most likely 31,000 ish.
Check out www.edmonds.com
you can see the dealer cost - each dealer pays the same price.
Their Destination costs, and the avrage price people in you zip code are paying for your car.
you can also link to honda's web site and ask for a e-quote thru the internet sales department. They know you have done your homework and pretty much give you rock bottom price. within a couple days quotes should start flooding in. Then call the dealer of your choise and see if they have the colors and options you want. If they don't they can do an interdealer exchange, but don't call to many dealers if you can nogociate a price and you called to many dealers they may not want to exchange you color because they know someone has interest in that package and they want to sell it. I did that.
be patient and you can get the best deal!
Also due to the popularity of the vehicles there's never much incenticves but if your credit is good you can get like 2.9% financing sometimes.
Q: What are the Dealer invoice prices for 2008 Honda Pilot, or where can I find them?
I forgot to put this, but for Canada.
A: Edmunds.com has a very well structured way to figure out the estimated invoice of a vehicle. The only way to see what the exact invoice amount for a specific vehicle is would be to see it for yourself. There are things, such as regional advertising, that might be added to the invoice and are actual charges they must pay.

Q: Door locks on the 2008 Honda Pilot?
Does anyone know how to set the doors to lock when the car is in drive/egnition starts on the 2008 Honda Pilot? All of my other cars have done this and it is very frustrating that this one does not. I do not think that the manual addresses this problem, but my sister has a CRV and said that she was able to set hers by putting the car in neutral and hitting a few buttons? Help?
A: Get in car and shut the door
turn key to position 2 you can see the marks near the ignition
switch turn off radio so you can hear
push the button to lock the doors
hold till you hear a click noise, about 5-10 seconds after the doors lock
turn ignition key to off position and remove key
This setting should lock all doors at 9mph and unlock driver door when put into park.
Q: 2008 Honda Pilot poor gas mileage?
Is anyone else getting poor gas mileage from their 2008 Honda Pilot? The last time I checked my gas mileage after doing city/highway driving, it was about 13 mpg.
The other thing that I noticed is that when I take my foot off of the gas pedal, and let the car go free wheeling, it seems to slow down pretty fast. I had a 2004 Honda Pilot, and I don't recall it doing that. Has anyone else experienced this?
A: that is indeed BAD. Is it shifting into overdrive?
Q: How much below MSRP should I expect to pay for a new 2008 Honda Pilot?
A: As there the 2009 model coming out soon is a redesign, you should be able to get a deal on a 2008.
Check the following website; www.carsdirect.com. You can get a price without any hassle or having a dealer bug you. You do not have to submit your name or anything like that. I quoted an 08 FWD EX for a good $6000 below MSRP.
MSRP Price: $30000+
$27,688 Invoice Price:
$24,298 Goal Sales Price

A: The color of the pilot on the dealer's website is Billet Silver Metallic. The Honda color id (color code) is NH689M.
If you would like to find this code for future reference, just look in the driver's doorjamb. On the white rectangular sticker which gives the gross vehicle weight and vin number, at the very bottom of the sticker in the center will be a letter and number combination just like above giving the exterior color code.
Q: What color is Car Primer supposed to be on a 2008 honda Pilot, Silver?
The guy sold me white to fix scratches and now the car looks like this

A: Looks gray to me. Now spray on the finish color, should work fine.
Q: can you tell me Honda Pilot 2008 pluses and minuses?
tell me anything about this car. i want to buy it, is it a good variant?
A: variant of what ??? it's an SUV. read at www.honda.com and test drive one for yourself.
Q: Does anyone know when the Actual 2008 Honda Pilot be available?
A: answered this question the other day.......
i know that it won't be a new body style for 2008. they're are going to be several trim levels like the accords (since they are getting a makeover for 2008) have now to help move the inventory along i.e. pilot VP and SE (SE model is something they did on the old body style CR-V as well). i don't however know what the new one will look like or consist of.
The new Accord is slated to be the BIG ticket this year.
i drive an 07 and it is a great car!
i wouldn't trust the spy pictures. most of the stories that goes with the links speak of how they are testing the intake with that style of front end. honda likes to keep their new releases very secretive.
Q: Would the 2008 Honda pilot get better gas miles then the 2005 Honda pilot?
A: Not likely. They are basically the same vehicle. Don't forget the EPA changed the mileage calculation so you cant compare those. The HP rating was also changed since some companies tweaked the ratings.
Real world mileage is probably about the same. The engines and vehicle weight is the same.
2005 - 255hp 3.5 V6, ~4,400 lbs, 17/22 (awd)
2008 - 244hp 3.5 V6, ~4,350 lbs, 16/22 (2wd) & 15/20 (awd)
Q: 2008 Honda Pilot?
Does anyone know when Honda will introduce redesigned 2008 Honda pilot?
A: I am a salesman for Honda. Expect it at the end of the year. The 2007 just came out about a couple of moths, so the new one is going to be about in October.
Q: 2008 honda pilot vs 2008 honda accord coupe?

A: I just bought the Accord Coupe on Sunday! Get the v6 and you will not regret it. Unless you have kids or something.
